Races will consist of the following classes: 1 dog 200 yards
2 dog 1 mile
3 dog 4.5 miles 4 dog 5.9 miles 6 dog 7.7 miles 8 dog 12.1 miles
Other activities may include dog care, trail etiquette and safty, first aid, practical skills, building lines, meeting and hearing from famous mushers and other hows and whats to does. Plus thanks to Yukon Charlie who donated snowshoes to the club, the kids will be able to try out snowshoeing and will give the kids something to do on days they can't race because of trail conditions.
No race will be held if temperature is -15 degrees F, or colder as reported at 9:00 a.m.; call 458-3745 and press 1113 after connecting. Jr. North American Championships have no temperature cutoff.
All races will take place at the Jeff Studdert Race grounds at the Mushers Hall on Farmers Loop on Saturdays at 11:30 unless otherwise posted. All other events will be posted on the Where & When page once scheduled.
