Then the FJDMA is for you!
This is a great opportunity for you to join our association and enjoy this wonderful sport! Annual membership fees are only $4.00 to $10.00 and no additional race fees for preliminary races. You do NOT even have to own dogs or equipment!! We have people with dogs and equipment to loan you for the races and even willing to take the time to work with you and help you practice!!! This is a fun opportunity whether you are serious about the sport or just looking to enjoy it recreationally.
FJDMA Mission Statement
The Fairbanks Junior Dog Mushers’ Association, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation located in Fairbanks, Alaska. Our purpose is to engage exclusively in nonprofit activities designed to educate minors in the sport of dog mushing. Specifically, the nonprofit corporation shall endeavor to:
(1) promote and educate responsible dog care and dog training among minors;
(2) promote and encourage healthy dog mushing competition and
(3) promote the active participation by minors in the day-to-day management of the nonprofit corporation, to the greatest extent permitted by law.
